Week 4
“Be somebody who makes everybody feel like a somebody”
–Kid President-
We’ve had a fantastic, but short week!
I’m impressed and so happy to see our kids continuing to strengthen the bond of
our classroom! They’re extremely nice and complimenting to one another! It
always melts my heart to see them cheering on one another and picking each
other up when they are down.
A Little Tiny Visitor
This week Samaria decided to bring in her
pet hermit crab to share with the class. During morning meeting she wrote in
the science journal “Did you know that hermit crabs have a hard outer shell and
they have a small claw and a big claw?” She gave everyone a chance to take a
close look at him and she even let him out of his little home to roam around a bit!
This little guy or girl stayed with us the entire day and was a wonderful
addition to our classroom!
Math
I do believe our kids have mastered the
idea of turning arrays into repeated addition and multiplication sentences and
vice versa. I’m so proud of the progress they’ve made. We will be having an
assessment on Tuesday to wrap this thing up so that we can move on to adding to
our multiplication and division concepts.
SC the Great
Our SC Regions projects are coming along greatly!
The kids have been working extremely hard and although it has taken us a lot
longer than expected, it has been worth it! The kids have been doing a great job working together,
researching their regions, and displaying their information to later
present. We are looking to present our regions to the class this Thursday.
We are looking forward to yet another
great week in rom 304. Remember, visitors are ALWAYS welcomed with open arms!
